Starting at the Now

This is just a blog like any other, a way for the author to share ideas and sharpen their writing skills; but unlike most blogs, this one doesn't start with what I have done, or where I have gone, nor does it begin with what I would like to do. It simply starts at the now of my story.

Everyone has a story. This possession is sometimes hated and hidden, shoved into a corner and hoped to be forgotten. Stories aren't just words or events, they are some of the threads that bind things together. Your story, your past, makes you you. Every accomplishment, every mistake, creates the person that is you. He who made us, the One we belong to, loves every part of our stories.

So this New Year's Eve, while others swear to discard their stories and start anew, I am starting at the now that my story has brought me to, give up the pen to Him, and work towards becoming His perfect Glory. (Philippians 1:6)
